I have a Mitsu D1850 that I use to work a garden with.
When I get my cultivator( which is a Dearborn 2 row spring shank cut down and made into a one row) all set with power lift and toplink for depth, I can go down one row and make it about half way or so on the next and all of a sudden the plows will just sink and lug the tractor down. I can raise the cultivator and drop it back down go and on to the end and do the next row and maybe have to raise and lower a couple of times to make it to the end of the row or maybe not have to cycle it at all. It seems as though the lift looses power to maintain position and drops all the way down or at least enough to make the plows to want to go to China.
I used the tractor last year to garden with starting from scratch breaking, disking, harrowing, cultivating with no problems. This year it has been a whole different story, aggravating to say the least.
I don't have any manuals of any sorts so don't know about the inner workings. Any ideas what might be causing this?
Until I can make a permanent repair I have been using short chains attached to the lift arms and the bottom holes below the toplink to limit travel distance. Works good but would like to repair the lift.
Thanks for any ideas.
