Power Inverter on GC2610

Wondering if anyone has used a power inverter on their 2610 and how well the charging system handled it. I'm thinking of hard wiring an inverter that will handle a small air compressor or maybe some things like hedge trimmers or some other smaller tools while out in the back 40. We're not talking 3000 watts here, just something smaller on the order of 400-800 watts.

I ran a a sawsall on a 600 watt inverter hooked to my 2310 for a day, It handled it fine.
