Does anyone know why the power beyond kit has 1/2 inch connectors on the high pressure line and 3/8 inch on the return?

Greetings:
Mine maintains the same size from the loader valve to the PB connector and then to the 3pt inlet. Memory says it is 5/8ths line. The connectors match the line here. Strange.

I have a question regarding the hydraulic flow with power beyond. You install the plumbing and put a 1/2 inch pioneer coupling and th
En JD send the rerun into the hydro tank. Wy
Hy not connect high pressure and return on the male and female 1/2 inch coupling?

Then I think the 3 point rockstop control would work. What are your thoughts?

By the way my power beyond with my log splitter works well just can't raise or lower the three point when running the splitter

i think its designed for backhoes.....they don't want the rockshaft to work with a backhoe attached.

when using the log splitter i would do what you described so you can use the three point.

Talked to the JD dealer. He agrees hook both end of the log splitter to the power beyond.

Should work fine

I have a JD 4720. Use the 3/8" return only when you are using the BH. Otherwise use the male 1/2" on the end of the hose for return. If that hydraulic circuit is not complete, using the 1/2" in return, the three point will not work. When not using the PB ALWAYS connect the 1/2" male on the hose to the 1/2" female on the same bracket. If you do not, the three point won't work but you will find a hydraulic overheat slowly building if left that way long enough.

+1 One other thing of note, if you are borrowing a piece of equipment - I'd purge the lines/valves on it so not to contaminate your fluid.

Assuming an open center tractor.

You should only connect the splitter flow back into the hyd flow if you have PB on the splitter valve.

A lot of people either take the PB from the loader valve and run it to the back for the splitter.

Others take the PB from the side of the tractor and use that for the splitter.

If the splitter does not have PB, use the PB from wherever, and run the tank/OUT port to tank.

Some tractors have a switch on a hyd valve block to re-direct the fluid.

what we talked about previously will work. Lots of people have done it with success.

we don't need to confuse any one any more.

tschwerm,

Just curious how you connected everything and what works and what does not work.

Can you describe your complete flow path for the hyd from pump to tank.

When you remove the log splitter, how are things connected?
