Sorry I don't have a pic ..but there are a number of holes where I can pin the end of the long arm of the post hole digger to the rear of the tractor (JD-1070). Could placement on one of those effect the DN motion? My old Ferguson 40 would drop the auger like a stone, this takes many seconds in Slo Mo.. Appreciate the help - thanks. Jim

Try adjusting the rockshaft valve on the 1070, that might be the prob. It's adjustable so you can vary the descent rate of implements that weigh differently.

Valve under seat kebo referred to is often referred to as a rate of drop screw.
