he got it so low, cause the original owner wasnt able to get it to work :laughing:.

GRS, maybe its one of those PHD's made for south of the equator and it spins in the oposite direction.

Haven't bought it yet waiting to see if the Pat's Easy Change makes a diff in mounting the auger to my tractor. I purchased a pair from someone on the board and went and picked them up yesterday. I'll install them tomorrow night after work and try again on Thursday I'll keep ya all posted. Mark

it is not difficult to shorten up the boom. I have cut the top link bracket out and welded back in on mine. Use angle grinder with a cut off wheel and cut around the boom just behind the welded bar stock, then cut off boom to length. A couple sharp hits on each side of the boom will narrow the end up for rewelding, then slide the bar stock eye piece back in a weld in place.
Took me about 2 hours and I am no welder.
