I thought I would share a pic that my grandaughter took over the Easter weekend. She and her brothers were here visiting and while just a teenager she is very good with a camera.

Enjoy the pic!

Beautiful looking pond and land. It looks almost like a golf corse or a city park!!!!

How are you keeping the grass mowed around the waters edge?

Vegetarian alligators maybe. :D
I wouldn't be ashamed to lose some golf balls in that pond, very beautiful property.
Great photos; looks like three photos stitched together.
Did your granddaughter snap three separate pics and make the panorama shot herself? ...or did the camera software do the stitching?

Thanks Eddie!

I usually get as close as I can running parallel to the water and then back up with the RC to get the rest.... it's time consuming that way but it works!

The dam is where the picture was taken from and because of the steepness of the banks I have to do it by hand with my Stihl FS-130 trimmer.

I'll try and post some more pics today.

She did take 3 pics and then made the panorama shot herself by stiching the 3 pics together using some computer software...... don't ask me what how...... I haven't a clue!

Thanks!

The pond has been here since the mid 70's. When I-10 was constructed here in the Florida Panhandle the contractor needed lots of clay and they dug barrow pits every few miles or so to get the clay. This is a 5 acre pond that was dug and is part of 3 ponds that all run together.

The dam for this pond had to be rebuilt about 15 years and is much stronger then the one it replaced.

The picture is looking to the west where there is a neighbors pond that drains into this one. Just behind, to the East of where the picture is taken is another 10 acre pond. I-10 is about 1/4 mile away to the left of where the picture was taken.

I'll try and get some pics today.
