Plowing Snow With RTV-X1100C

Yesterday, I bought a RTVX-1100C with worksite tires and 72" electric over hydraulic snow plow.

Currently, I plow my nearly 1/4 mile asphalt driveway with my B1750HST and 6' back blade. The driveway is steep and the B1750 plows it well with chains but will plow going downhill only without chains.

I'm hoping that the RTV will plow it without chains in both directions as I do not wish to use chains on my other, new asphalt driveway.

Anyone have any experience plowing snow with an RTVX-1100C?

My gut reaction was to say that the rtv would have less chance of plowing uphill than the B1750. I checked the weight of the RTVX-1100C, and was surprised how heavy they are. Almost 1000 lbs heavier if my source is correct. Weight is king in snow.

Yes, the RTV is considerably heavier, and the tires are better suited to snow. More importantly, the plow is front mounted rather than rear mounted as on the 1750.

I expect it will depend upon the amount of snow.

Guess I'll find out this winter.

i have a 2014 x900 that i attach a boss vplow each winter. No hills to speak of, but i use low range to push snow and had no issues so far. Your 1100 should have a few more hp than mine does. I also place 3 50 lb tractor weights in the bed.

I installed a Snowsport plow on the front of my RTV900 last winter and it plows like that video. You may be pleasantly surprised!
