Snow Attachments Plowing snow with a FEL?

   / Plowing snow with a FEL? #21
Hey, another Vermonster!

I suppose it depends on the size of your tractor and the height of your moldboard. My little B1750 had trouble with wet, heavy or deep snow. But my L3010 and LandPride HD rear blade with hydraulic TNT has never met a snowfall it couldn't handle given the proper combination of speed and blade angle...and my neighbor is a ski resort.

I thought about a blower, but while we get plenty of snow, it's rare to get more than 12-18" in one storm. Ours is more of a steady buildup. Maybe once every 3-4 years I wish I had a snowblower, but the rest of the time the blade and bucket do the job just fine. Oh, and I use Valby ice chains to maintain traction. Without chains I wouldn't be able to plow my hill.
