I'm new to this tractor business but looking forward with great anticipation to cleaning up our property. What is the order of business and which implements are used? Brush hog, tiller, box blade? I'll need to clear trees and then want to level the playing field. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to TBN /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Giving us a little more information about your land will help us give you better advice. A brush hog will take care of mowing down a lot of things, but you need to be careful of stumps. (You mentioned clearing trees) When TBN’ers talk about taking out stumps they usually are talking about using a backhoe. If you do not have any other uses for it that would be an expensive way to go. You will need a loader if you do not already have one. It is the single most useful thing you can have on your tractor. Other more knowledgeable people can tell you about the various uses of a box blade. They can move/shape a lot of dirt quickly.

Have fun with your L3010 /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

5 wooded acres. probably about 3/4 for home and landscaping; the rest left fairly natural but groomed. Yes I do have a loader. I guess I'm more concerned about smoothing the lot.
