I'm looking to rebuild the engine in my Massey Ferguson mf1250 it has the isiki e3ad1 3cyl diesel. Has anyone used piston and bearings from southern global? I don't want to waste money on sub par parts for the rebuild.

Can't comment on the aftermarket company listed, but in my experience, stick with factory parts whenever possible. While there are some very good after market products out there, those are for racing or high performance changes to an engine and not so much for factory rebuilds.

The Southern Global parts may be fine - unless they are not. If I was going to the trouble and expense of overhauling an engine I would not cheap out on parts of unknown quality. I'm guessing the Southern Global parts are Chinese. In my experience some are good and some are a bit sloppy following factory tolerances. I've not even considered the metallurgy involved. Cover your backside and do it right.

As a company Southern Global are fine and did me good when I needed parts for my Mitsubishi.
Like many they are simply distributing and not making parts.

B4 placing your orders why not simply ask who is the supplier, like OEM or aftermarket ?.

hopefully, they are properly balanced, are the proper specs tolerance wise, and use the proper metals, you just don't know!. many reviews in favor would be a good start!..

Southern Global is not a company I have ever heard of. My day job is in ag parts, so its uncommon for me to not know of a parts company. Not saying that they are bad. However they are an unknown entity to me. Google street view shows a disused building at the address. They might be a newer company.

I asked them if they knew if the pistons were made in China and they weren't sure. I'll probably just have to play it safe and get OEM. They are the only distributor that I could find that had aftermarket parts for this tractor.
