I had leak by on both my lift and bucket cylinders on my FEL. I replaced all the seals, the issue is sorted out with 3/4 cylinders. The one bucket cyl has had a piston put in which is not a good fit. I can feel and see lateral movement in it by hand. Why is it that I cannot seem to find anyone who sells std diam generic pistons over the web

So I am left having to replace the Cyl. Why are tie rod cylinders so much cheaper, and could I use one to save a buck ?

Yes, you can save some bucks, and they are easy to break down and repair, and they have all the parts for their cylinders.

Check out this site for hydraulic cylinders. They make tie rod cylinders for farm/agricultural.
