Fellow pack members,

I finally got pics of my 23 hr old CT122. I have been having a great time learning how to operate a tractor that is more than a garden tractor. It's been quite dry here in Indiana, so it gets pretty dusty but that beats digging in the rocks of NH where I grew up.

I've been working on grading the yard with the bucket and box blade. I have also had to switch to the rear finish mower to keep the 2 acres of weeds manageable. The bucket is 54 " and the other 2 are 5'. The CT122 has as much power as I will need for what I plan to do.

Happy with my Bobcat,

Fuddman

Very Nice!

I know a 5ft box blade up here in rocky NH would be tough so I went with a 4ft, I bet you will not have any problems down there with it. With some practice, you can make a very smooth and level area with the box blade and bucket, it's a great attachment.

How's that standard bucket/box blade combination for leveling working out for you?
I ask simply because i'm hoping to purchase a ck22 with a 4in1 bucket and a rotatary hoe - i have heavy clay so i intent on spreading gypsum then cutting it in with the hoe - then use the bulldozer function of the 4in1 to level it out.

it sounds like your doing the same kind of thing i plan to do. (my yard is really rough to - bounce around alot on my lawn tractor :( )

The loader is not really designed to be a bulldozer.

I would look more into a box blade. It does the bulldozer work really well. It does take a little time in the seat to get things really smooth. But it has a lot finer height control than the loader.

The York rake is my favorite attachment for smoothing the riding ring, with the guide wheels set correctly it's (almost) foolproof.

Oh, and congrats on the new kitty !!
