My neighbor is the former owner of my land, been in the family for 100 years, never inhabited, it's a loblolly pine tree farm, ready for harvest but not on my watch.

I'm always finding something on the morning dog walk and the other day i found a skull bone that stumped my buddy. He's is the template for an outdoorsman. He can start a fire without matches about 3-4 different ways.

He looked at the skull and couldn't come up with any ideas.

It was found in central NC. Is it a wolf.

Any ideas?

Having vertical and horizontal rulers in the picture would give a good idea of size.

I agree, it doesn’t look like a skull.

No need for a ruler. Do a search for images of a deer pelvis and you'll see something quite similar.

There are more that look much more like the on in the OP. My guess is that the age of the deer makes the difference. It could be the pelvis of some other animal.

Those aren't eye sockets. It's a pelvis.
