Not a barn, but a purpose-built octagonal tractor shed that allows easy access to out-facing implements. The self-supporting truss roof has no center post, so the 10' tractor can be parked beneath the center of the 17' shed. (I hope the photos make it.)

Oh please ! That is NOT a barn ! That is the very famous Ephrata Cloister, a preserved 18th century monastary in PA not far from Lancaster. Here is another view from around the side showing more of the main structure.

South and East of where I live is called the Palouse. Its world famous for wheat and was originally homesteaded by folks of German ancestry. There are three barns like this, that I know of, in this area. I ride by at least one of them every time I go south.
