2 JD,
I have made some picnic tables out of expended metal and 1 inch square tubing. I have would like to put some type of plastic or rubber coating over the metal rather than painting every year or so.
I have noticed some tables at a resturant which has the appearance of dipping or brushing this on.
Any ideas what to use or where to get it? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
Thanks

what about an epoxy, you could stir in dry pigment and make it any color. Some bars that i saw had used a product called liquid glass, same idea as the epoxy just dried clear.

Don't know about home application of the factory plastic coating, but you might consider truck bedliner coating, such as Linex or Rhino. This sort of use of this type of material seems to becoming increasingly popular. They can make it various colors also.

Not sure what the cost factor would be, but how about powder coating? You would be done for a very long time
