I've owned 3 Deere's to this point... 2 garden tractors and the 750 CUT...
All excellent pieces of equipment...

I surprised myself by not getting another Deere for the 1st new tractor I'll own...

...especially after the "heat" and offer I got from my Cousin who's a Deere dealer... his Father ( my close Uncle) was a Deere dealer for ~30+ years...

Their blood is GREEN... GREEN... GREEN... !


I did the tractor comparisons on my own... and decided on the Kubota before my Cousin found out...

When he did find out... he called me... with the sales guy in the background for pricing... went point by point of Deere vs. Kubota... Deere winning most points of course...

...also making "humorous" remarks regarding me... including being disowned by the "family"...

He spec'd out an equivalent Deere 4310 and gave me a price he'd never offer to anyone... plus a $1,000 Deere rebate...

Told him I was still gonna get the Kubota...
...and as a comprise... so I could still be part of the "family"...

This gives an overview of how much better I like the Kubota L3130 vs. the Deere 4310...

I'm gonna' get ribbed and "beaten up" until me or the Kubota dies... of course... the Kubota will outlive me !

The new 30 series seem to be very well built. Maybe even built better than the 4010 series JDs. I know I will NEVER buy another one unless it was a 4510 or bigger. They seem a little better built.

I have really good "luck" (I really shouldn't say luck, I should say service) from all (5) Kubotas that I have owned. I have also had good service from my 4030 JD and my IH too.

I don't use the other tractors nearly as much as the Kubota and not nearly as much as I did with the previous Kubotas either.

I am just comfortable operating Kubotas and the new series L5030 I have now is a case-in-point. Everything just falls into my realm of operating criteria from the loader joystick to the remote hydraulic levers.

As far as worrying about any replacement parts, other than the usual filters, in all 5 units, I have never had a failure other than 2 loader seals that failed immediately (on 2 different units) and were replaced just as quickly by my dealer.

Unless you get an unusual unit, I'd say that any replacement parts/failures should be about the farthest thing from your mind.

A word of caution though.......
I'd not get too close to the Kubota with the JD green paint, decals or anything with a JD logo on it. Your Kubota might just take offense and leave you in a lurch!!

Well... I did buy a new equipment trailer from my cousin... I'm picking it up tomorrow in NH... then VT for the tractor...
