I picked the last of my Beet crop today. I don't mind peeling or pressure cooking them but I hate cutting them up because they are so hard. I tried one of those plastic slicer machines in the past but even with the safety handle I had to count my finger tips!
I found a Professional Salad Shooter (plugs into wall) today at a Thrift Store for $6.00 . I put the thick slice blade on and it spit out the nicest chips you could ever ask for!!!! It didn't even grunt with the hard beets!
I have no interest in the company that makes them AND I always thought they were a stupid idea when I saw their commercials!
I got a couple rows of carrots coming, Hummmm?????
