Re: people and their garbage
all of us here are assuming most, if not all the garbage is coming out of Holland MA. I use to live there (only 200 ft) form my house now, which is also the Mass/Ct state line.. Holland, long ago, closed the town dump. People there are suppose to have their own dumpster. Some, have 4 or 5 families sharing one, and equally share the expense. We are back to the old argument of all these new city types moving in daily, who soon find out, no city water, sewerage, no garbage pick up and every thing else is part time. It cost me 71 a month for a 4yd dumpster that is empty twice a month. Those, few new people that I have talked to, haven't a care in the world.. It is creating much larger problems on the horizon. I wish the realtors would have the guts to tell it like it is and not gloss over everything so they can get their 6% or whatever the going rate is now. Of this on going problem, some vehicles were "heard" to peel out and head right back into Holland. Doesn't necessarily mean they "are" from there, but I would believe it a good chance after seeing who is moving in lately.
Camera, won't happen with me. I can't afford it for one, and how would I cross the only major road and take pictures without power. All of it is done at late night and in one case (8 tons) dropped by a dump truck in wee hours of morning.
