So I've read through all of the Pat's Easy Change threads that I could find here, but I still have not been able to answer all of the questions I have regarding using it on a soon to be delivered 5045D.
The 5045D is Cat 2, and will be arriving with a box blade and cutter also setup for Cat 2. I am planning on purchasing the Cat 2 version of the Pat's Easy Change (originally I was going to buy a Cat 2 to Cat 1 Easy Change, but since it is coming with two Cat 2 implements, that might not be the best idea).
First I was reading through reviews on Northern Tool, and came across this comment:
Since I don't have the 5045D in front of me, does anyone know if I will run into this issue?
Next problem I have is what do I do about hooking up Cat 1 implements to the Cat 2 PEC? Would bushings work on the PEC, or would it interfere with the washers that need to be put on the implements? Am I better off swapping the pins out and putting Cat 2 pins on and not using bushings?
My other concern is using Cat 1 implements due to the width differences. Should this be a problem or concern with the 5045D and PEC?
Finally, I have read several comments regarding PTO shaft length and the fact that PEC adds 4". Some people have said they have had no issue, while others have indicated that it is an issue.
Any help with these questions would be appreciated. I want to order the Pat's Easy Change, but I am just not sure what the best thing to do is. I am wondering if I should change my Cat 2 implements to Cat 1 pins and order the PEC Cat 2 to Cat 1, or if I should swap future Cat 1 implements to Cat 2 pins (or use bushings if that is possible with the PEC).
I have never had a Category 2 tractor before - so I have never come across any of these issues.
Thanks for any ideas or thoughts...

Even though my Deere 5310 is a Cat 2 ball, the lift arm width is less than 3 1/4 inches, meaning I will need to fabricate a part as all my equipment has been converted to Cat 2. The width of the lift arm should be annoted in the product description as the Cat 1 quick change is for lift arms <3 1/4", and the
Cat 2 >3 1/4"
