Past time for new front R-4s

I have a Kubota L5030 with 1650 hrs on it, fronts are bald 10 x 16.5 I am trying to price new rubber WOW what a sticker shock, any way I have noticed on titans web site there are too many choices, but they do vary in overall heights. I am now wondering what OEM specs were in 05? I want the same hieght since I do have FWD. any one else gone though this? I was hoping of the same 6 ply tire unless an 8 or 10ply would hold the loader up better?

I bought couple of front R4's last year from Nebraska Tire. They called them "buffed" tires which means they ground off the "T" in Titan. They were about 1/2 the price of anyone else. Good service and easy to work with. I would go back to them again.

Have thought about recaps?

They are alot cheaper and last alot longer.

When I got home mama ordered a set of 6 plys localy @ $150 each. Sure beats the 180 each.
I do not know any thing about recaps or any one in my area that does it, but havent looked either.

I bought 12 ply 12x16.5 R4 tires at my local Co-op for $110 each about a year and a half ago. They are some offbrand but holding up pretty well. They are some pretty stiff tires - can't tell when they are low on air by looking, have to use the gauge.
