Parts for JD 955

I just purchased a JD 955 and need a few seals and motor mounts. I priced the parts/labor with my local JD dealer but was wondering if there are aftermarket parts that I can look for like possibly on the internet or if someone knows of places here in the Northwest. Is there any concerns I should think about if there are aftermarket parts? I have been looking for some time for this particular JD(my neighbor has one also) and I got a pretty good deal on it but was just hoping to save some $ on parts.

Hi shawna. Welcome, and, good choice. My family has had x55 series tractors for years and we all think they're just the cat's whiskers.

You might check another dealer or two for the parts. In my area there is quite a discrepancy in prices on parts/service between dealers, so, you might save a few $$ by shopping a bit.

To answer your original question, I haven't really looked for aftermarket sources for parts, aside from filters, so I don't know what's out there.

Check out the parts web site here if you haven't looked at it yet. You can get exploded parts diagrams of any part of the tractor along with part numbers and list prices for all the parts. In my experience that is exactly what I always pay, whether a part is in stock or has to be ordered.
