Parts availability for JD500c?

I've got a chance to buy a 1971 500C locally. Not being a JD guy (as of yet), I'd like to know about availability of parts.

I think parts availability for model 500C should be OK depending on when/if JD strike is settled. 500C & 3020 Ag tractor utilize similar parts. Which type trans(PS or CS)? I recommend to check antifreeze condition & PH. Also check operation of hyd system & trans at engine operating temp.
