I shot this deer yesterday. Check out his mouth. Also he is 5 pointer with 4 points on one side and one point on the other side and his for head is dented in - maybe accident as fawn.

Most likely it's an accident/injury, but you did a good thing by removing him from the gene pool just in case it a genetic fault. How much did he dress out to? It looks to me like 80-90 lb.

Hey Czech,

How about putting a few green leaves in the mouth of your prey out of respect and eating raw a piece of it's liver, Now that's tradition as well:D
I have hunted many deer in my time and not once I saw a deer with a lower jaw like that. That sure looks dorky :D along with the disadvantage that deer had feeding and browsing.

JC,

Great big LOL, I spotted that purse and got worried right away about you with those Eastern European roots :)

My wife is from Poland and the in-laws got me a "man purse" I would have nothing to do with it, deep rooted traditions are hard to break. :)

Nice deer, I don't get the parrot mouth thing?

Ok I see the overbite now.

From the condition of the deer, doesn't look like the parrot mouth caused any malnutrition. Deer don't have teeth on the top in the front, so prolly didn't have trouble brousing grass and twigs/buds and such. Prolly would have starved as a fawn if it had trouble eating. A google indicates studies in the 60's found less than 1% of deer (cervids) had this parrot mouth, and it was in the genes. Apparently albino deer often have this deformity.
Bet it doesn't affect the meat, and should be good eating. :) :)

Jinman, I never weight deer, don't really have a way, but it was good sized deer, compare to typical local does.

About the "purse" - due to my roots I am very happy with it, just the right amount of space for all I need out in the woods, pretty much like the American bag of possible. Check this out: Hunter's bags

And thanks for replies and jests, gentlemen.

In keeping with that statement I assume the rifle in the picture is a good Czech made Drilling!

It's even better made American Winchester 70 in 270WSM. I am ashamed, but I don't own and never did own any CZ in my life:(
