Within the last couple of operating hours the parking brake light on my CK20 has stayed on even the brake lock was disengaged. I plan on giving my dealer a call in the AM but thought I'd throw it out here in the mean time.

One thing I had to do was tighten the bolt that the brake lock pivots on as it was loose and the lock lever was pretty sloppy. I had hoped to find some sort of micro switch that the lever engaged..... but no luck. Any insight gang?

There has to be a switch somewhere in the linkage, but I've never looked. Sorry for the lack of help. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

My CK25 did the same thing. It turned out that the weight of the parking brake lever was just enough to apply pressure to the micro-switch to keep the light on. A little tweaking of the micro-switch trip strip did the trick. Not exactly sure where your switch is but if you look at the end of the lever under the dash you should be able to find it.

My switch is in the same place as yours, I just didn't recognize it for what it was. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif The trip strip had gotten behind the plate meant to depress it so I couldn't see it. The pivot bolt being loose was the root cause, it must have allowed the lever to shuck just enough to allow the trip strip to get behind it. All is well now. Nice job with the "trip strip" thing, walking up from the garage all I could think of was…… "What in the @%!! am I going to call that thing?"……….I’d figured it out before I read your post, but I thank you kindly in any case.
Regards, Jamie
