I will be needing six sets of 1/2" hydraulic quick connectors fairly soon. Other than the Parker Pioneer 4000-4 1/2" series which is what I would like to purchase, what other brand(s) have you used that will interchang and can recommend? The local hydraulic shop wants just about $30.00 a set for 1/2" P/P 4000-4 OTD. Also TSC offers 1/2" Parker Pioneer 4000-4 sets for $17.99 online or phone order but will only sell one set at a time with a $6 s&h to me. HUH??? I guess these people don't understand that even the hydraulic cylinders they sell generally require at least two sets of QCs to function. Between my two closest TSC stores (65 miles apart) there is one set on the shelf. The phone order person told me that there was only ONE set available in their entire warehouse stock! How many TSC stores are there internationally and ONE set of P/P 4000-4 QCs in stock??
I'm taking this as a selfish marketing ploy by TSC and not as a fact that they don't know squat about tractor hydraulics and have requested via an e-mail an answer from them regarding this situation. Are there any other suppliers out there with fair prices for Parker Pioneer QCs or should I look to another brand? Thanks.
