I have a a problem with the JK going dead in a few days if I don't keep it on a battery tender or run it. It has a LOT of electrical accessories - CB,Winch, 5 sets of lights, subs, touchscreen, air compressor, etc. Well I disconnected EVERYTHING aftermarket and still have the draw. Went through the factory fuse box 1 fuse/relay at a time with the meter between the neg. cable and the Neg terminal of the battery to monitor the draw. Stayed the same after pulling each individual fuse, one at a time.
Now I am baffled - I thought as I pulled a fuse, checked the meter I would see a drop in the draw at some point, and then know that is the circuit to chase. Didn't work - anyone have any suggestions on what I am missing?
THANKS

Does it have a electric fan? Unplug it and CK it again.

Just put a battery cutoff switch.

Your battery may have n internal short. Check the voltage immediately after you've charged it.

Does the battery minder ever show "charged" If it does, does it constantly cycle back and forth between charged and charging? When did it start doing this, or is it a new to you vehicle? I once had corrosion bridging to a battery hold down bracket that was causing some leakage current.

I am curious how you are measuring draw. I have a FLUKE clamp, that does DC, but would be useless at such low current levels.

Disconnected all non-factory wires form + terminal of battery
Running the meter on 10amp, DC, between neg. battery terminal and Neg cable.
14.4 volts showing when the Jeep is running - Charging system seems to working great.
Nothing new added recently.
Trickle charger does seem to get it topped off but takes a day or more. Also does seem to kick back on to top off fairly frequently.
Putting a battery cut off would stop the draw but really doesn't solve the problem just sort of covers up the issue, I would rather fix it. Plus it clears the radio and all settings every time so that would be a bit of a pain.

I bought a new Ford truck recently. Don't drive it much and battery would be too dead to start. Took it to the dealer 5 times and each time amp draw everything off within specs and battery went through a factory recommended charge then discharge test OK. They were not authorized or be reimbursed for battery replacement unless tester could provide proof. Got tired of going there and bought a new and size larger glass mat battery out of pocket. Zero problems now letting the truck sit long periods and starting.

The dealer said the problem was not driving the truck enough? Can't let a vechicle sit 7 days? At least they were pleasant and no cost.

It's the ECM. My mom had the same issue with her FCA car. The ECM always pulls a bit of current. Nothing you can do about it but install a battery maintainer or drive it more often.

I also bought one of these and carry in truck. They're very small and stay charged a long time. New battery technology. So far started truck, zero turn and 4 cyl Kubota. Two thumbs up.
