Why is the Tournament of Roses Parade running a day late?

They don't do it on Sunday.

Is it because its Sunday or because the networks dont want to loose the advertising money NFL football brings in?

I believe it's because the NFL 'owns' Sunday. Of course, I had to work today, so missed the bowl games that were on during the day.
