Hey guys, here I am again asking for some help. The soldiers in Iraq are getting all the attention, but the folks we have in Afghanistan are in pretty bad shape in terms of conditions. I was on the phone with the Family Liasion for the Charlie Company, 113th Spt Btn this morning. She gave me a list of things that are in short supply.
They included a lot of simple things razors, chapstick, sunscreen, & women's hygene products. The troops are also bored.
I came to you a while ago to ask your help collecting DVD's. With your help I collected and shipped several hundred DVDs. And I really appreciate everyone who came through and sent me DVD's that I could pass on.
I am coming to you one more time. This time for BOOKS. If anyone has any old paper back or hard back novels collecting dust in a box or on a shelf that you are no longer needing, if you could please ship it to me, I have begun a new project to collect a small library of books that the soldiers can pass around at Camp Phoenix in Kabul, Afghanstan. There is about to be a major personel change with fresh troops shipping in and the end of a tour for many currently serving at Camp Phoenix. I'd like to send over the books sometime before then end of August or perhaps in early September.
If you have any books that you can spare, please send them to:

Also, while my company deals directly with many major manufacturers of personal care items, if you would like to send razors (mens & womens), skin creams, lotions, shampoos, toothpaste, sunscreen, chapstick or other items, I am also working on collecting those goods and shipping over what I can. But my main focus right now is trying to collect books for the troops.
