What kind of paint should I use to paint a tractor tire that will be used as a sand box? I was thinking a couple coats of spray paint. Is there a better option?

Here's an Ehow on painting rubber tires.
I never had any luck painting tires for decoration since the tire will flex more than the paint causing the paint to crack and fall off.
I have spray painted tire rims and got some over spray on the tires. The over spray it very hard to get off so maybe light coats of spray paint will hold up for a while.

When I was a kid , dad got a old tractor tire for a sand box , it was fun , but the sand kept disappearing , so dad got more , and more , and more . We got past the sandbox age , and dad decided it was time to get rid of that tractor tire . His choice of language wasnt fit for our ears at the time , the entire tire was filled with sand .

Here's the only thing I could find that looks possible, but it's probably too expensive for this application.

With misgivings, I checked out the ehow link above. Why is that site even allowed on the Internet? Every time I accidently click on their site, I find information that is, at best simplistic and useless. At worst it's dangerous and incorrect. I think they just throw stuff on there to get clicks. I really need to completely block them.
