Paint Steel Roofing?

I have a friend who wanted me to ask what kind of paint to use on metal roofing.She says they are painted now and some slight rust. I assume they need to be sanded and primed. Thanks.

If we are talking about simple barn roofing, they made a Aluminum based tar. Mop it on and good for many years. Looks shiney like galv.

Take Paddy advise. Got to lowes or home depot. If it a barn metal roof with gal tin then coolseal can be bought in 5 gal pail and put on over rust with a long nap roller just like painting. Just slop it on and go.

I am planning on buying paint from this company to refresh my 30yo metal pole barn. Metal Roof and Metal Siding Paint Has anyone heard of them?
