Owners of BX1830 ?

As a new member here at TBN I have read many posts of various members with superb knowledge. I don't seem to find many comments about the BX1830. Is this not one of the more popular tractors ? /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Just curious /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif BX1830, 54" mower and 50" snowblower ,grass catcher

I think you will find that most opted for the BX2230 over the 1830 since its only marginally more expensive and offers a 4hp gain on the engine and a 3hp gain on the PTO. That was the deciding factor for me on the decision to go to the BX2230.

Those are the only differences between the two machines.

Well I don't have an 1830, but I do have the 1800 predecessor /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif I went with the $1000 savings and bought the wife the grass catcher she insisted on. I haven't missed the extra horsepower cuz I never had it /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I love my machine, of course I do drool at the ones whenever anyone posts picks, exspecially the BX22, 23's with the backhoe, but I realize I can't really justify anything more than the one I bought so I just keep smiling.

Welcome aboard and to the BX1800/1830 club. There are very few of us.

When I bought my BX2200 the difference between it and the BX1800 was $500.

For this difference in price it was a non issue for me...

Had it been $1,000 like in Surfran's case...I might have thought twice...but it wasn't so I didn't... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Now seeing how I seem to pretty easily spin the wheels when doing some work with the my BX, I would like to think that the 1830 might just about, maybe, probably, who knows, put about the same amount of power to the ground as its slightly bigger 22 HP brother... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Differance when I was shopping was $700. IMHO, not much of a choice, really. I origionally was shopping for the 1830, I didn't think I needed 22hp. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
