My neighbour has the same Patrol, it will have no problem keeping those hay wagons on track, but old farm trailers usually dont have brakes... Over here, most heavy wagons had surge brakes but with this ratio (22 bales x 500kg is 11 ton, then add 4 for the wagons is 15 ton, a Patrol short wheelbase weighs just over 2 ton) surge brakes dont suffice...
So yes, this is not a combo to pull through town, go downhill, or exceed 50kmh on wide open farmroads..![]()
I don't think it safe to exceed 10 mph with that load. There's no way he can stop that load in a hurry so he should be going just fast enough to be overcoming gravity. And if he went anywhere near a hill with that setup he should be jailed for reckless endangerment.
