I was talking with the man who will install the Cenrral Boiler , if I have it done. He said he would hook it up directly to my FHW boiler, hence making the system non-pressurized. He said a circulator would run continuously from the outdoor furnace to the indoor FHW furnace, keeping the indoor furnace at operating temp. I have a DHW coil in the oil furnace so that would be covered as well.

I asked about corrosion issues. He said it wasn’t a problem, because they put in an additive to cover that.

I wondered what it would cost to run a circulator full time as well.

He also discouraged using a forced air vent on the outdoor furnace.

Does anyone have a set up like this? Is this the best way to go about it?

Thanks

Thanks for the link. I read through them all But I can't seem to find one set up like I described above. Does that sound OK to you?

Sorry, I ran out of time yesterday.

My setup runs a pump for my radient heat, Its a small pump and running the regular furnace pump vs that pump should be a small difference if any.

If, by forced air, you mean for the draft, you dont need it. If you meant forced hot air heat, they work fine.

One of the guys CB furnaces I looked at was hooked to a old HW system. It seemed to work for him.
