I bought a Herculiner bed liner kit, to redo my short bed. there were some gouges, and scrapes right down to bare metal. I got an excellent deal at the parts store $69.00 for the kit. I had just taken delivery of a New Kubota L4400, FEL,Backhoe,Grapple, and I thought I would use the bed liner material to coat the operators floor, on the tractor, and the Back hoe.

So,I started the bed liner project this weekend, and it was a little more work than I thought it would be, The instructions call for a lot of prep work. I took off the panels on the tractor that I could, and loosened any the I could not. I washed everything with TSP, sanded, and scuffed, all glossy areas, and wiped everything down with Xylol. My daughter helped with scuffing and sanding, which was a big help. I have included some before pics, and some pics of the kit. At the same time, I was prepping the bed of my truck. That was not to bad, since it was a re coat, and I just had to prep the bare metal spots, and wash the bed.

after the prep work, it was time to mask off all the areas I wanted to coat. I had taken all the bolts, and nuts off that were in the way, and that I did not want to risk getting stuck forever. I covered the holes, that were threaded, and just started to tape. I have, by this time already made some mistakes, so in the interest of preventing you from making the same, I will mention them now. It goes without saying, that you must make sure that your tape is flat, and tight on the work surface. You want a nice clean line. What is not readily known, is that when working with this stuff, you need to take off the tape before the material dries. For example you put on the first coat light, it is only a primer coat. Then immediately after you put on the second coat, you remove the the tape. I did not do this, and it gave me some headaches later. Note, the directions clearly tell you to do this. I did not see it, and it was my fault. In my defense, I was counting on putting at least three coats on, and I did. So maybe thats why I missed the instruction. Here are some More pics

Looks good. I like Herculiner, use it instead of carpeting in my jeep and other places. It's one tough paint, event though the shop sprayed Rhino is imho better - never used that one, being a cheap skate.

Great idea to use it on the steps of the tractor and the backhoe platform! I used Herculiner on the bed of our Kubota RTV900 and it has worked great. We haul lots of wood and have also hauled gravel as well. It has held up very well given the use it has been given. Here are some pictures right after the Herculiner was dry.

I have used NonSlipCoatings.com | Non Slip Coatings | Bath Rug | Waterproofing | Non Slip Surface before. The up side is it comes in noslip and smooth. It can be rolled or sprayed. It also comes in several diffferent colors. I have had very good results in both finishes. I have it on my flat bed trailer that hauls my trackhoe. It has held up good with all the abuse. I even put the noskid on the trailer fenders. I haven't hit the dirt getting off the trackhoe after I load it since.

I know this sounds crazy, But I have been saying for a couple of years, that I would like to get my whole truck repainted in this stuff. #1 I hate washing the truck #2 I ain't shy about taking the truck in the woods, and # 3 It would look bad a%#. Here are some more pics, of the panels I did on the tractor. It is A Kubota L4400 I have had it a week, and only have 3 hours on it. My wife was ready to kill me when she saw me taking parts off, and painting the floor. The directions say to brush on a lite coat first, and to get all the seams real well.

My wife wants the very machine you have, and has informed me that the bed will be coated with the bed liner

Amazingly enough my wife was the driving force behind the purchase of our RTV. I had a four wheeler for years and it was time to upgrade, plus we have an outside wood burner and it makes hauling wood off the property much easier. Again, great work and can't wait to see the final product.

The link you provided is no good- comes up a generic site for sale.

I'd really like to know the product you used. I'm tired of slipping on my enclosed trailer's aluminum ramp.;)
