Well, after deciding that my B7800 would lift it, and have just enough PTO to run it, I rented an OS1548 landpride overseeder for $165., it weighs in at 1200 plus pounds w/out seed.

The B7800 would lift it, it weighs in at 1350 plus pounds including the seed. It only holds about 100lbs of fescue. In order to lift it all the way, you had to travel a little forward or backwards, but for running the seeder, you only have to lift it enough to get the blades off of the ground to turn, this wasn't a problem. I didn't need any weight in the FEL to do the lifting, but the tractor felt more balanced with 200lbs or so in the FEL.
I did have to run in low, and at times go very slow to keep the PTO rpms up. This was only a problem in wet soil, or places where the ground was more bare. On most of my yard, I was able to run in low with the hydrostat pressed clear down.
My brother has a 3130 and also used the seeder, he has only slightly higher pto hp, so his experience was about the same, but he made the depth of cut a little shawllower, and was able to run a little faster, he also could lift it with no problem.
All in all the OS1548 worked with the B7800 about as I had expected, I put down 1150 lbs of K31 on 3 acres, in about 6 hrs. The brochure for the OS says you can do 1.5 acres per hour at 3.2mph, but I had to go much slower, and I don't think they take into account stopping to load the seed.
