Opinions please MF 1210 VS Ford 1310

Hey Guys

just wondering what yall thought about each of these.

The Ford 1310 is mid 80's a little rusty 2wd turf tires 500 or so hours.

The Massey 1210 mid 90's 2wd turf tires 700 or so hours.

Curious about getting parts etc.

Which would you choose and why?

I would call a couple of dealers about parts. I know the Ford parts may be in short supply. I had a 1710. & 2120. Both great tractors

I've had a Ford 1210 since around '91 and it's been a good tractor. So far parts have been available. Just replaced seals on the shafts (front wheel spindles) this past year. Messicks had them in a few days. Mine is 4WD.

The first tractor I had here was 2WD Cub LoBoy 154 with the diamond pattern turfs. It was OK for mowing when the grass was dry. We have some hills the 2WD where the didn't work very well when the grass had dew on it. It did have chains and a front blade for snow. Without the chains it wouldn't go at all in the snow, even when not trying to plow. With chains it was like having 4WD. We hadn't paved the driveway so I wasn't worried about the chains damaging the blacktop.

Since Massey Ferguson still has a relationship with Iseki it is possible that parts are still available. I would call a dealer to make sure. The Shibaru built Fords and New Hollands are good tractors, but can be a problem when it comes to locating parts.
