I came across them while looking for ideas on a DIY landscape rake. The 72" model is on sale with free shipping at a price that almost makes me not want to drill 144 holes for tines.
I couldn't get anything useful from the site search.

Thanks

Decent quality homeowner grade stuff. Maybe also a marketing success as much as anything else.

Friends of mine sell a lot of their stuff. I never knew that is what it stood for.

I have their 400 chipper-it's ok and works up to 3" branches, if you're careful. Got it as a rebuild. Got the tow kit as it was a hassle to move without it.
The shredder part chokes a lot and don't use it much.
Build is not bad for the price.

I helped an organization to purchase a DR product and spent the next 4 years fixing it. It was too light in every respect, hence it broke. They are not really designed to be used and best as a garage ornaments.

DR TRIMMER is absolutely worth the money. Head string height is adjustable. Excellent belt clutch. Very durable. Saves your back vs hand held.

Returned an Earth Quake model that the head broke in first 5 hours. Many such as Cub don't have a clutch.

I have a Powerwagon closing in on 40 years old. Good machine. Before I bought a CUT with loader, I used it almost every day for all kinds of stuff, including standing on the bed to reach the top of hedges for trimming. Very handy machine. The old Tecumseh engine is hard to get parts for now, but it still runs. I don't like the design of the newer powerwagon, and much prefer mine with the wood bed and the little tray over the engine for carrying extra stuff. The newer ones steer easier, and are shorter in length, which is a plus in the woods, but they are also higher. Mine had a sulky, which was ok for pavement and level ground and I used it a lot before it came apart. I have semi-converted it to a little wagon which could be used to carry extra stuff in open spaces, but it's gonna be a bit awkward to control the machine standing off to the side. I still use it quite a bit, and consider it one of the best pieces of outdoor power equipment I've ever used, and as an outdoor power equipment junkie, that means something.

I looked at them for the field and brush mower. They were priced higher for less HP and cutting width than the one I bought.

For something like a landscape rake, check your local tractor or AG stores, or even Northern Tool. Anybody that sells 3 Point stuff will have one.

I bought an 84" landscape rake from a local tractor supply store, King Kutter brand, that was a couple hundred bucks cheaper than the DR 72" one on their website. The King Kutter one is fine for my uses.

I'd shop around, that DR isn't worth their asking price compared to other non-contractor grade stuff.
