Hi All,

Considering going to look at a low hour used John Deere 3203, but I'm concerned about it's low loader lift capacities (John Deere 300). They seem to be much lower than most tractors of this size, although the max lift height is very high by comparison, so that may explain it. I intend to use the loader to spread gravel and lift fallen trees and branches on our 19 acre farm. Am I overly concerned about the specs? See below.

Thanks

Loader type: John Deere 300
Height (to pin): 112.8 inches [286 cm]
Clearance, dumped bucket: 68 inches [172 cm]
Dump reach: 33 inches [83 cm]
Dump angle: 40.5
Reach at ground: 53.7 inches [136 cm]
Rollback at ground: 21
Rollback, raised: 101
Breakout force (at pin): 1,728 lbs [783 kg]
Breakout force (at 500mm): 1,229 lbs [557 kg]
Breakout force (bucket): 1,115 lbs [505 kg]
Lift to full height (at pin): 740 lbs [335 kg]
Lift to full height (at 500mm): 547 lbs [248 kg]
Lift to 1.5m (at pin): 951 lbs [431 kg]
Lift to 1.5m (at 500mm): 740 lbs [335 kg]
Attachment style: hooks and lock pins
Raise time to height: 3.2 s
Bucket dump time: 2.71 s
Lowering time: 1.63 s
Rollback time: 1.38 s

That's weird...

Looking at the 1.5M capacity. as that should be apples to apples, the LA524 on a L3200 lifts 1490lbs at pin and 1182lbs at 500mm. JD must have compromised a lot for that extra 18.5" of height.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. I guess at any lift height, that JD pin/bucket is a lot farther out from the tractor.

I just bought a JD 2025R, and those specs are really close to the loader that came on it. I'm surprised its that low. All I can say is spec wise, my new tractor loader only specs a little bit higher than the Kubota BX I traded in. It has a bigger bucket than the BX but it doesn't seem to have any problem filling the bucket most of the way with gravel. The bucket size seems matched well to the loader.

I guess why this one has been sitting for a while, and everything else (that's nice and priced right) sells in about 24 hrs. The used market around me for low hour, HST, mid-size CUTs is nuts.

Same here. Decided I would not pay 75-80% of the cost of a new tractor for one that is 5 years old with no warranty or cheap financing.
