Any thoughts about how large a York Rake I can use behind my BX2200?

I don't think width will be the issue as those aren't normally used for pulling huge amounts of heavy material. I think the "size" of rake will be the thing you need to watch out for. Get one that isn't made for a low-lifting 3PH like on your (our) generation of BX and you'll constantly be dragging it on the ground.

I'd start with the "XB" series at Tractor Supply. Well priced, they are sized specifically for sub-compact equipment. I have a subsoiler of theirs and have been happy. There are several others that make sub-compact sized implements as this is a fairly popular tractor segment. My dealer carries things here and there, but they don't always have the 'little' stuff on hand.

I'm looking at getting a York Rake this spring, money permitting. Dang economy. I really wish I had one when I did my lawn rehab. Very handy piece of equipment.

I have a 5ft rake on my BX which works great. It will be better after I add a wheel to it to help when filling holes in the road.

5'er shall do just fine,45 degress setting make sure cover wheel tracks...York Rake aren't cheap more so w/drop down grader blade but made very..very well.

5' is what I used with my BX. I bought the Woods Estate series-it is like the King Kutter XB series- a lower profile rake that your BX will be able to manage easier.

I used my 5 footer with scarfer and blade to pull out surface stones in the back (4-12 inch variety). Eventually the outboard attach points got bent and the scarfer won't go down any more.
This fall I used the rake to level some newly put down gravel on the side shoulders. It didn't work too well. Then I put the blade down and it did a real nice job in a single pass.

I pull a seven foot with my Massey GC2610. No problems. Watch you rear though, it's a lot bigger than your tire tracks.

BX24 here. I pull a 6 foot rake behind mine and use a 5 foot blade.
