Opening morning of dove season in Texas. How did you do?

Took my ten year old out for a couple hours this morning. It was his first time shooting (at) doves. Between us we only got three so far, but he had a good time. They were mostly really high this morning and I don't have any water on my place. Last year was much better because we had a lot of dove weed in our field. Much less of it this year for some reason. I guess I'll have to plant some sun flowers, etc. so we have something to bring them in better next year.

How is everyone else faring?
