I hate it when that happens...

You dug it too big, your tractor fell in.

Did you try pulling yourself out with the back hoe? Won't be the first or the last person to get their tractor stuck. It happens to all of us sooner or later.

That's a fine mess you've gotten yourself into.

Did you get it out?

Been there, done that! :D

We have all been there at one time or another. It appears that you did a fine job, you should always try your best :). If you can dig down to solid ground you might be able to work it out, but if it is wet for a few feet, you might need to call a buddy with a bigger tractor.

I did that in wet, soft sand down by the creek. I got in it and the tractor sunk almost immediately down to the axles. Luckily I had a winch on the truck and could get close enough to winch it out. I had to use a snatch block and I still was unsure if I was going to get it out but managed to pull it out. That sand was pretty close to being quicksand. Worse stuck was with a dozer.

Ummm... don't have any useful or even witty response here but at least you didn't roll it! This is what friends are for.

Might try placing some long timbers along side the tractor under the BH outriggers and use them to level the tractor up, putting other timbers under the wheels. Set it back down on the timbers and drive away. If you plan on doing a lot of that kind of work I'd recommend AG tires. Industrials get packed up way too easy. As Xfaxman shows, AGs can be packed full too though so in your situation it may or may not have helped.

Good luck and be careful!

Hey Chris,

Good golly Miss Molly that sure is stuck. It could be in the dictionary next to stick in the mud. If you got it out, then great, tell (and show us) how. If not, good luck, and tell us what you have tried.

Safety first, then safety again, then everything else!
