In September 2008, Hurricane Gustav caused major destruction in our place wiping off everything that we worked hard for. There was at least 3 feet of water down in the basement. Also, our wind-whipped walls were also damaged by flying debris. My parents contacted a drywall contractor in Kentucky but as it turned out, many others were facing the same problem so we had to wait our turn. Since an uncle of mine is a drywall contractor himself but unfortunately lives somewhere in Asia now, dad called him for advise and then did everything that Uncle Pete told him to do. One year after the attack of Gustav, I think we did a good job recovering our home and supporting each other in order to stay sane.

what a terrible way to lose everything you've worked so hard to attain. living in the northwest, i can't imagine how it must be to deal with this type of event. it's good to hear you've pulled together to rebuild, my hat off to you!
