The guy I use for delivering crusher run for the driveway did about the most perfect chain spread i've seen when he brought the first load. Exact depth of material I asked for. Didn't need to spread or smooth at all with tractor. Just packed it down with truck as it lay. Ended up with the perfect crown.

Got another 6 loads coming over next few weeks. Finding a good operator is worth every penny spent.

Good to hear there are still some out there. The fellow that I had doing mine for probably 10 years has retired. The next gent I had come was not bad, just started out plus a couple links and had to go over it again to finish a tandem load.

It's not uncommon for regular delivery drivers to make excellent drops...a good driver will get the hang of it quickly a poor driver never will...A lot depends on the condition of the material (especially with crusher run) and how much moisture is in it makes a difference how it comes out of the gate...
