One More Oil Question.

I plan to use AMSOIL for the first oil change on a Kubota L3130HST and trying to figure out which would be better, SAE 15W-40 Synthetic Heavy Duty Diesel and Marine Motor Oil or the new Series 3000 5W-30; or does it make any difference? Any problem with switching to Synthetic Oil with only 50 hours on tractor?

Very little if any tractor use below +20d.

Have read the archives and learned much - maybe I missed this.

I would have installed synthetic from day or hours zero but that is me. Better for the engine. The 15w-40 HDD&M will be just fine for ya.

As GSXR mentioned, you will be fine with the Amsoil 15W-40 Heavy Duty Diesel and Marine oil. I'm assuming that a 40 weight oil is recomended for your tractor. We use it here in trucks and tractors in temps of 20 below zero with no issues (although that's probably not recomended). I have used this same product in my X595 since 25 hours and now have 160. Very satisfied with it.

Let us know your thoughts on this product after some use.
