On the verge of L3130

Hello All:

Haven't posted for awhile but have been reading alot. Hopefully my old tractor is finding a new home this afternoon. Filled out the credit approval papers this morning with Kubota and should have new L3130 mid to latter part of this week. Haven't mowed yet this week hoping to try out the new tractor. Thank all of you for the insight that you give.

As holds with my luck, the guy told me he would pick up the tractor this morning. Of course he did not show up after I cut my price $500 for him. Also, he is either not answering the phone or worse is now ignoring me. He could atleast have called me and told me any number of excuses: I don't have the money, my wife won't let me buy it, etc.... /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

You'll love it. Yesterday I was moving round bales with a spear on the LA723 loader quick attach, and then I finished digging out the foundation for my barn with the bucket and tooth bar. Some people think it could use 10 more HP, but it always manages to do what I ask of it.

I love the smooth operation of the HST and the smoothness of the engine (love the heavy diesel knock too!).

What kind of mower are you putting on it? Belly?

I already have a 5' Woods rear mower. I just wish I would hurry up and sell my other tractor so I could go get the new one.

HEy UPGW: how big were the round bales? any trouble moving them around? I do round bales up here as well,just wondering how the "bota works on the rounds-that is a nice loader.

Big! I'm told they weight 750 pounds "cured", and I believe it. We ordered the LA723 loader just to make sure we could handle them. The quick attach spear is not a Kubota part, but has a replaceable spear, and is heavier duty than the Kubota part. The machine can move them effortlessly.

Congrats....

I just bought a 6' finish mower. Mowed the thin grass 2' tall along the drive. Then mowed the thick grass, also about 2' tall, along the cornfield goind down to my well. The tractor never knew it was back there.
