Hi everyone I am new to this forum. I see there's a lotta helpful and good information on this site. I was hoping anyone out there that would be willing to answer a question of mine. I don't know a lot about tractors so that's why I am asking. I have an opportunity to buy a 2004 4410 John Deere with a 430 loader,a 59" front mount snowblower with weight box it has 450 hours on it and very good shape for 17,300.00. Or a 2017 3015 Branson with a sl15 loader, with a 150 hrs. The Branson still carries a 5 year warranty for 18,000.00. which route do you believe would be the best to go I've know virtually nothing about Branson tractors. Any help anyone would give me would be greatly appreciated thank you

IMHO, Branson is a mid-tier short-line tractor. Better than the no-name imports, perhaps not quite as good as the big-name imports like Yanmar, Kioti, Mahindra, etc.

For me, the big decision would be dealer support. John Deere is a known quantity, and JD dealers are everywhere. If you have a Branson dealer or a shop that services and repairs Bransons nearby, I wouldn't have a problem with owning a Branson.

As much as I like Deere's I would probably go for the Branson. It has less HP, but it weighs more and has a fairly significant amount of extra capacity on the 3pt and loader.

However, for that kind of money, I think you can get into an even more capable tractor. Not sure what your needs are exactly, but if physical size isn't an issue (within reason) there are probably some better options.

What do you plan to use this for? Amount of land?

From one newbie to another - I am a new owner of a used tractor myself. I can not speak to pricing or if either is a good deal, but as for reliability I can share one example. My BIL bought a new 4410/430 back in about 2004 for his 140 acre hobby farm. I think he has close to 2000 hours on it and has not had any troubles. It does every job he needs doing. He does have a backhoe and has accumulated a few other attachments over the years.

Good luck.

If Branson was a mid-tier short-line tractor, then why would John Deere ask them to make their 6R, 6M and 6E series tractors for the European market?

Branson owners know that Branson is up close to the big boys in a good quality and well made tractor, even though it's hard for some to accept this. Most didn't even see the tractors up close...

Back to the OP question, the JD seems a bit high priced for the age it has. On the Branson you get a good quality tractor, built heavier than most competitors and if you like Cummins engines, then you will like this one.

By the way, the Branson HQ in GA is working on mid PTO for the 15 series, I think the HST ones. They sold one that is going to Canada and will use a front mounted mower, however it was a 2019 cabbed model, not sure if the mid PTO can be applied on the 2017 models.

I dont know TYM and Branson are the same company, TYM also makes RK and some of the Mahendras. As much as a MAGA guy some of these Korean tractors are just as nice if not better spec wise then the big names and they cost half.

Thanks every one for the responses. I am going to use it mainly for snow removal of my 2 driveways 100ft long. And for landscape work. Maintaining gravel driveway, making wood, moving and leveling black dirt. No major field work except maybe a brush hog for some mowing. No this doesn't have the opition for a mid pto. So no front snowblower. FYI I was told to get a 8ft snow pusher for clearing the driveways. Anyone ever use one of those. I been using a 4 wheeler all these years but finally took a crap. Thanks everyone.
