Old Lawn Boy Mower Any Idea

My father-n-law brought out an old lawn boy mower that is a model 5239g serial#7887018. He was given a primer bulb and on/off switch years ago when he was given the mower. Can anybody tell me about what year this was made and if it's worth anything. I have a newer Lawnboy that uses 32:1 mix does this sound about right on this one? I really don't need this mower but hate to see it leave. Hopefully I can upload pictures

Looks just like the one I welded a few weeks ago. That front wheel on the L that sticks out the aluminum was cracked. I'd be afraid to guess, but they changed very little from 69-83.

That looks like the one I bought "used" about 1975. Best lawnmower ever made as far as I'm concerned. Mine was still good as new when we became full time RVers in 1989 and I gave it away. A friend at the time had one that he was still using when it was 25 years old.

They run great until you loan them out and someone runs plain gas in them and burns up the motor.

According to this link it is a '77
I love my lawn boy. I got it from my dad, used it as a kid. It isn't the most powerful in long wet grass but it is built like a tank.

I had a couple of old free lawnboys like that. One was green and the older one tan. Great little mowers, just wore them out.
