Not really but I guess it could be. Also add cost of rebar.
My B2320 does wheelies and won't hardly go up grass covered hills due to spinning. Need front weight bad.
To cheap to pay $1 a lb for front tractor weights so bought 5 40lb bags of Sakrete for sale price at Lowes for under $2 a bag. plus bought 5 pieces of 1'x 1/2" rebar.
Was going to fill antifreeze jugs with sakrete but found this shop vac canister that had a dead motor. It holds about 60 lbs of sakrete. Also put about 60 lbs of sakrete in this plastic ??. Guess it's obvious that the front plate won't hold both of them. My brother gave me a left over piece of channel iron from over his garage door so I'm going to have to bolt the channel iron to the front plate on the tractor then hang both on the front and find another container to hold another 40 lb container. Goal is 200 lbs for front weight.
Have a bigger shop vac canister that will probably hold 200lbs per one but lifting it on the tractor may be more than I'd want to do. Maybe get the bigger one and only fill it part way and then sit one of these in it or hanging off the front of it.

Yes, the front is awfully light on these tractors. I agree completely. I sure like the looks of suitcase weights, but the price is rather dear.

You've got little to lose with your attempts except a little time. I'll be watching.

Yeah, i been considering wheel weights melted to steel Ammo cans , so I can move them easier..John, if you put a heavy grille guard in front that would help with weight and a rack of utility. I know the Tractor nose is mighty tender when you get too close to solid objects..

I have been brewing up an Idea to use elevator counterweigts and make a basket to hold them in out of 2x2 angle.. paint it all grey and I think it will be close to factory.. I work on elevators so have acess to these weights.. Johnthomas If KY wasnt so far I would donate the weights to you...
I still like your setup though.. very creative..

So I guess you gave up on the barbell weight stack? This surely is cheaper, but wow, I'd hate to have that thing filled with one monolithic 200 chunk of concrete and lift it on and off the tractor. That's hard even for young fellas, and I hate to break this to ya John, but neither one of us is a spring chicken any more!!

Couldn't find the barbell weights in other than 15lb sizes. Saw a big roller at a Thrift "stuff" store in Alabama and all it was, was a metal bucket poured full of concrete which got me to thinking. Yes, I'm to old to be picking up a 200lb weight which is why I'll maybe get a bigger bucket and only partly fill it and then hang these on it or set these in it. I can do the 60lbs OK but no, not 200.:) Maybe could.....but I ain't going to.:D
This happened to me Saturday.
