Old Common, Day to Day Technology. Waht do you hang onto?

I am just doing my taxes. I love my old lined paper and pen.

Paper To Do lists, shopping lists.

I love fold up maps. Not so much those books. Don't use a GPS.

Wooden pencils.
Paper books.
Gas range.

Still have the "Kremlin hotline" phone in the shop - old rotary dial phone in red, used to be our backup for when power failed and the cordless phones didn't work... but no longer have POTS :confused3:

Hand tools like saws, planes and chisels
Books, like the old home mechanix and shop notes
Bamboo fly rods and wooden lures. (Not used together)

I have a few electric pencil sharpeners. I would have manual ones if I ever found one in a thrift store. But I always feel somehow a little anxious, when the pencil shortens. It's only fun, using a nice long, new pencil.

How do you correct a thread title? A pink rubber won't do the trick.

I much prefer to carry a small day planner to record any appointments for my wife and myself rather than to record them in my cell phone.

Still use a brace for some jobs, still have a slide rule, wear a fob watch with a waistcoat and wear a cravat sometimes.

Anyone use matches? I even use a self starting torch to light candles on the dinner table.

I love my clothes line. I got some huge Menonite Pulleys at their general store. But I do have a dryer.

We use matches and a clothes line, two of my wrist watches are mechanical.
