Anyways, class, can anyone tell me whats wrong with the pictures?

The fact that the pics are dark or the fact that the rear drive pully is fubarred do not count.

You'll have to give us a hint . The only thing that gave me a chill was that ide hate to be thrown out the right side of that open tractor with the mower still to pass  .

Could it be that there are no guards on the PTO shaft etc?

Wrong.

The disc mower has a worn out curtain in the front and on top of that its being run on a tractor with no cab.

Considering the knife tips are moving at somewhere around half the speed of sound, if that thing were to hit a rock or some other hard object such as wood the operator would have very little protection.

With an estimated knife tip speed of 250MPH, an object could theoretically be sent flying at 300-400 feet per second... thats faster than the bolt out of a crossbow.

Something that weighed as little as an ounce traveling that fast could inflict some serious damage, and if it were to hit someone on the head it could kill them.

I'm going to have to give my neighbor a lecture in safety and try and talk him into getting a new curtain. Even if it costs several hundred dollars its cheaper than a trip to the ER.

I was going to guess that the tractor is the wrong color.

I'd still want to add a PTO guard as well...

I'll give you the new curtain, they can be had for I believe 250.00 bucks from Carter Machinary. Otherwise, I can't wait for Mark from CCI to chime in as far as the cab tractor goes . . . :)
